If your earnings are at most 40% of your established income level before the start of the pension, your earnings do not affect the amount of pension you receive or your right to receive disability pension. If 40 % is less than 687,74 e/, you are at any rate allowed to earn 687,74 e/ month.
If your earnings are 40%–60% of the established level, your disability pension can be converted into a partial disability pension. If 40% - 60% is less than 687,74 euro, your disability pension is converted into partial disability pension, if your earnings exceed 687,74 euro per month.
While on partial disability pension you are allowed to earn no more than 60% of your established income level before the start of the pension. If 60% is less than 687,74 euro, you are at any rate allowed to earn 687,74 euro per month. If your earned income exceeds 60% of the established level /or 687,74 euro, your disability pension or partial disability pension will be either interrupted or cancelled.
You can leave your pension dormant
You also have the option of leaving the disability pension dormant for a minimum of three months and a maximum of two years. This is an option, for example, when you wish to try to return to full-time employment and your income limits would be exceeded. Leaving the pension dormant means that the pension payments are suspended for the period indicated by you or for an indefinite period.
If you wish to leave your pension dormant, you should inform us of this well before starting employment, which would cause the income limit to be exceeded, in order to avoid the recovery of excess pension payments.
Working while on disability or partial disability pension will accrue additional pension at the rate of 1.5% of your annual income, regardless of your age. You need to apply separately for this pension when your disability pension converts into an old-age pension or when you stop working.
